July Stars & Stripes Challenge!

Happy July! Here’s the deal, people: It’s independence month and we’re celebrating with stars and stripes…which means, we’re working our abs…A LOT. Summer’s in full force and we’re keeping that beach body toned (you’re welcome!) To begin, lie flat on your back and lift your legs to a 45 degree angle, keeping them as straight as possible. To perform a “star,” draw an imaginary star in the air with your toes with your back on the floor and legs together. For a stripe, move toes horizontally from one side to the other, and back (counts as two.) You’ll be doing stars some days, stripes other days, and both for double trouble. Just save, print, or pin the image below and let the celebrations begin!

June Clamshell Challenge

Happy June! This month, it’s all about the clamshell, the best beachy exercise for the booty and inner thighs. To get clammy, lie down on one side. Bend legs to a 45 degree angle at knees and hips. With heels stacked, open top knee and close like a clamshell, keeping heels together. Save, print, or pin the image below and clamshell your way right into beach season!

March Madness – Lucky Lunges!

Guess what…we’re lunging right thru March and stepping into spring! Here’s how to lunge: Stand up tall. Keeping your upper body straight, take a big step forward with one foot. Lower hips and bend front knee to a 90-degree angle. Repeat on the other side. Lunges work the entire leg and core, especially the glutes, hamstrings, and abdominals. Focus on these muscles when executing each lunge to maximize benefits. Some people like to place their hands on their hips and others like to hold them in front of them for balance. Commit today and print or pin the calendar below. Complete each set on BOTH legs (so, when it says 3 lunges, that’s three lunges each side for six total!)

October Tricep Toner Challenge

October calls for trick-or-treating…and tricep toning! Here’s a little challenge to keep your motivation high. With a healthy attitude, you’ll be able to crush those sugar cravings, indulge moderately throughout the holidays, and keep right on toning!

To do a tricep push-up, get into a four-arm plank with arms extended, hands about six inches apart inside shoulders. Start on your knees until you feel strong. Lower chest towards floor by bending elbows straight back next to your sides, keeping your back straight. Push back up until arms are almost straight and repeat.

June Mountain Climber Challenge

Get ready to climb because it’s all about the high intensity interval training this month! Your heart rate will climb right into the fat-burning zone. Mountain climbers can be done anywhere, anytime. They’ll increase endurance while toning your entire core. Start from a plank position, shoulders above wrists, feet hip-width apart. Bend your knee and pull it in to reach your opposite elbow, while maintaining a strong and straight plank position. Repeat the movement on the other side and push yourself to maintain a high-speed, reaching your max heart rate. By July 4th, you’ll whip yourself right into tip-top shape for summer! June Challenge
